Tarte aux Questches

My dear friend and I have a weekly sunday brunch that is only ever cancelled by fire and brimstone (or if one of us is traveling out of town, which is often). Yesterday we moved brunch to my place in lieu of her’s after I promised her that her trek over to mine would be rewarded with a plum tart. This tarte aux questches is the most simple of delectations and rightfully so: it seems sacrilegious to burden delicious ripe plums with spices and fuss. Here are some photos of the  Alice Waters inspired galette which is made from 3 things: my pate sucrée recipe, plums and sugar.
