The Tcherassi Hotel is a chic establishment in Cartegena, Colombia. The beautiful courtyard is home to Italian restaurant Vera. I thought it a propos, given the sharp aesthetic of the hotel and restaurant, to wear something clean and polished but with a bit of punch to dinner here with my friend. I know, I thought, “tbhe Christopher Kane bodycon dress!” Only one problem: I loathe bodycon dresses. Or do I? The overtly sexy silhouette has never been my inclination and I usually find the tight lycra look a bit lacking in imagination. Besides this I am insanely body conscious i.e. aware of and paranoid about every bump in the topgraphy of my frame– aren’t we all? I scooped this Kane dress up, however, because I felt that even with its hip-hugging lines, the geometry of the boldy-coloured stripes lends the piece a certain angularity that counteracts what can be the saccharin sexiness of a bodycon dress. And all that aside, a little sexy never hurt, n’est-ce pas?
What I Wore: Christopher Kane Dress, Christian Louboutin Pigalle Pumps, Swarovski “Bella” Earrings
I find your paranoia about your body very, very, VERY hard to believe. Just saying.
“a little sexy” A LOT sexy #OKRR
Love ! Keep up the good work.
